Wesley Harris Reports Strong Fundraising Totals

julio 19th, 2023

Charlotte, NC — Wesley Harris for North Carolina reported today that, in the first half of 2023, the campaign has raised over $182,000, bringing its cash on hand to more than $124,000. 96% of the funds raised by the campaign came from within North Carolina, powered by more than 700 grassroots donations representing every corner of the state. In addition, 80% of the campaign donations were first-time donors to Wesley.

“Our fundraising showcases the same thing I’ve seen out on the campaign trail—that this campaign’s central messages of good government and investing in our people are resonating with North Carolinians of every background, and that voters are fired up and ready for change.” said Harris.

Wesley Harris’ strong fundraising support is also bolstered by a strong slate of endorsements from more than 150 current and former elected officials, including the vast majority of his Democratic colleagues in the General Assembly. In particular, Harris’ endorsements represent a strong vote of confidence from municipal elected officials who often work closely with the Treasurer’s office.

Wesley Harris is fighting for a vision of a North Carolina that sees its people as its greatest asset and invests in our communities to unlock their potential—and it’s clear that the people of North Carolina are ready for that vision to become reality.
